About The Glory Society
The Glory Society is a worker-owned and operated cooperative that makes video games. No bosses needed. Founded in 2019 by Bethany Hockenberry and Scott Benson, 2 out of 3 co-creators of the critically acclaimed, multi-award-winning game Night In The Woods.
Coby West (they/he) is a technical producer from Austin, Texas. They made typo-ridden video games as a child and have worked on non-typo-ridden professional-type video games since 2015. Coby enjoys traveling, hosting events around Austin, and meeting cool new people.
John Wilinski (he/him) is an artist based in Minneapolis, MN. He used to work on cartoons, but is now very excited to be working on games as the lead animator and co-producer at TGS! John likes toys made of cheap plastic and old Hong Kong action films.
Seyoung Jang (she/her) is an artist from South Korea. Currently based in California. She loves visual storytelling and jumping into creative projects. Seyoung is a nerd for sci-fi who loves to chill with audio books, but on a sunny day you will find her out at a nearby park petting dogs.
Ali Aya (he/him) is a game engineer that’s been in the industry for 10 years, from contracting to AAA and now indie. His experience led him to dabble in many different parts of video games, with a focus on engines and performance. His role at The Glory Society is the Technical Director, ensuring the stability and health of the game. On his off time, he enjoys hacking hardware, cooking and hanging out with his three dogs and two cats.
Kas Ghobadi (he/him) is an experienced game developer with expertise in Unity, AR/VR, and a jack-of-all-trades in his approach to game design. He currently works as a gameplay programmer and co-producer at The Glory Society. His other works, such as Onto Maizilind Unto Infinity (OMUI), Stereophyta and Oceanarium, have been featured in international festivals and museums around the world. He is also a founding member of Big Bag, a collective of game makers and artists based in Brooklyn, NY, creators of titles such as Terminal 69 and the corpse.
Bethany Hockenberry (she/her) is a co-writer at The Glory Society and was also a co-writer for the game Night In The Woods. In her spare time she gardens, sews, hikes to abandoned spots in the woods and hangs out with her cats and husband in western PA.
Scott Benson (he/him) is a game developer, animator, illustrator, and writer. He co-directed a game called Night In The Woods, and did writing, art, animation, and various other things for that. He enjoys photography, hiking, exploring remote abandoned places, astrophotography, and making music. He plays video games as well sometimes. He lives in western PA with his wife and their two cats
